Claire Rouse

Farm Lab Coordinator

Claire was born and raised in Sacramento, CA, where she discovered her love of the environment through playing outdoors with her two younger sisters. From building tree forts and fairy houses as a child, to hiking and ocean swimming as an adult, Claire has always found magic in the simplicity of spending time outside.

Claire moved to Santa Barbara, CA in 2019 to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara. There she obtained Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies and Sociology, while additionally participating in the UCSB Exercise & Sport Studies Academy. During her senior year of college, Claire also became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Claire hopes to apply her passions for environmentalism and fitness towards her work at SEEAG. She is excited to get children thinking about the relationship between their bodily health, and the health of the planet.
