SEEAG’s Top Moments from 2025

The SEEAG Team at the Summer Celebration

As we look back on 2025, we're filled with gratitude for the students, teachers, volunteers, partners, and community members who helped make this year unforgettable. From hands-on learning experiences and new program milestones to inspiring community events and behind-the-scenes achievements, SEEAG has continued to grow its impact across Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Join us as we celebrate our top moments of 2025—the stories, successes, and highlights that shaped another incredible year of agricultural education.

Farm Day Every Day Tours

We kicked off the year in January with the launch of our Farm Day Every Day program, offering monthly rotating tours across Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Petty Ranch, Plantel Nurseries, McGrath Family Farms, Las Cumbres Ranch, and Rincon Farms each opened their doors to our community, giving guests a firsthand look at local agriculture. More than 300 community members joined these free tours throughout the year. Stay tuned as the 2026 tour calendar is on the way!

Santa Barbara County Expansion

In February, we expanded our presence in Santa Barbara County by signing a lease for a new office in Orcutt and growing our team. This exciting development allowed us to reach more students than ever before, offer even more hands-on learning experiences, and continue opening young minds to the importance of agriculture in a sustainable, meaningful way. Thanks for your support on our expansion!

Bus Bucks Campaign

Also in February, our annual Bus Bucks Campaign helped bring even more students directly to the farm. Thanks to generous supporters, we raised $5,300; enough to fund dozens of bus reimbursements for schools across both counties. Every dollar helped ensure students could experience outdoor, hands-on agricultural education, and we’re grateful for everyone who contributed.

Plantopia at Santa Barbara Earth Day

April brought one of our favorite traditions: Plantopia at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival! At our booth, hundreds of visitors explored SEEAG’s programs, learned about agriculture, and planted their own seedlings to take home. A huge thank-you goes to Plantel Nurseries for donating all the seedlings that made this experience possible.

1st Annual Summer Celebration

In August, we hosted our inaugural Summer Celebration Fundraiser, a joyful farm-to-table brunch attended by more than 100 guests. Together, we celebrated SEEAG’s programs, milestones, and vision for the future. Throughout the day, we raised over $57,000 to support SEEAG’s year-round education programs. We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and support shown for this transformative project.

Santa Barbara County Farm Day

September marked our 7th Annual Santa Barbara County Farm Day, and it was one for the books! Over 5,000 visitors explored 21 different farm locations across the county, meeting the farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals who keep our region thriving. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this Farm Day both educational and memorable.

Giving Tuesday

This Giving Tuesday, our community once again showed its generosity. Together, we raised over $3,000 to support SEEAG’s free education programs. In the spirit of giving back, SEEAG also donated a Christmas tree, a $50 Sprouts grocery gift card, and holiday bags to local families in need. Thank you for helping us extend the holiday spirit to our wider community.

2025 was a year full of growth, connection, and meaningful impact, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for supporting SEEAG’s mission and for being part of every moment. Here’s to an inspiring year ahead!
