A Morning of Giving Back: Volunteer Day at Petty Ranch!

Photos by RG Photogrpahy

On Tuesday, June 17th we hosted our monthly Volunteer Day at Petty Ranch in Saticoy.

Summer has come and students are taking a break from the farm, which means we get to put in some extra care at our Farm to Food Lab field trip site. We had some volunteers join us for a couple of hours at the farm where we worked on improving our education site to welcome back students in the fall!

Our main tasks for this volunteer day included:

  • Harvesting produce from our garden boxes

  • Pulling out weeds from the ground

  • Scooped and laid out mulch over the ground

  • Wiped down and hung up new signage

We put in the work, enjoyed some delicious produce, and accomplished a ton! We had a great time putting some love into our area where we welcome thousands of students annually. Thank you to each volunteer that joined us, and we look forward to welcoming new volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering with SEEAG, we would love to have you help us out. Visit our volunteer page HERE, and we will be in contact with future volunteer opportunities. Thank you for contributing to our mission!
