SEEAG’s First Annual Summer Celebration: A Day to Remember
The SEEAG Team at the Summer Celebration
SEEAG’s very first Summer Celebration was an incredible success! Hosted at the Agriculture Museum in Santa Paula, the event brought together friends and supporters from near and far — from Ventura County to Santa Maria and beyond — all gathering to celebrate our mission and get excited for what’s ahead.
Together, this inaugural event raised more than $124,000 in support of SEEAG’s four cost-free farming and food literacy programs across Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this possible.
Showcasing Our Programs
The day kicked off with an opportunity for guests to explore interactive tables highlighting the amazing work of each of SEEAG’s programs:
Farm Day – Attendees met our Farm Day Coordinator, watched incredible footage from past events, and learned how Farm Day brings the community onto local farms.
STEM Career Pathways in Agriculture – Guests got a hands-on look at student labs, including building a hydroponics system and testing soil moisture.
Youth Wellness Initiative – A mini produce pop-up displayed the fresh foods our third graders get to enjoy, along with healthy recipe demonstrations used throughout the year.
Farm to Food Lab – From planting seedlings to learning about irrigation, our table captured the field trip experiences students enjoy at Petty Ranch.
It was inspiring to share the impact of these programs and give our supporters a closer look at what their generosity makes possible.
Fun, Flowers, and Fundraising
Beyond learning, guests enjoyed a flower bar where they could create their own bouquets, adding a festive and personal touch to the day. The auction and paddle raise were a highlight of the event — we were truly moved by the outpouring of generosity and support from our community.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We left the event with hearts full of gratitude (and goosebumps!) thanks to the incredible support we received. Raising more than $124,000 at our very first Summer Celebration is a milestone we will never forget.
SEEAG is honored to be part of such a caring and supportive community. Together, we’ll continue educating the next generation about food, farming, and the importance of our local agricultural systems.
Here’s to the next season — and many more celebrations to come!
