Produce Pop-Up Recap – Juanamaria Elementary School in Ventura
Our first Produce Pop-Up at Juanamaria Elementary School in Ventura was a wonderful success and our first held during a summer school program!
Thanks to the generosity of Food Share of Ventura County, 300 pre-packaged food boxes were distributed to local families, along with two boxes of freshly gleaned navel oranges donated by Food Forward. Each box included nutritious items such as apples, onions, celery, and more, helping families bring home fresh, healthy foods.
Seeing students proudly help carry food boxes with their families was a meaningful reminder of the impact these events have on our community. Through SEEAG's Youth Wellness Initiative, Produce Pop-Ups increase access to nutritious food while creating opportunities for family engagement and community connection.
A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, partners, and the Juanamaria Elementary School community for making this event possible. We look forward to hosting more Produce Pop-Ups throughout Ventura County and continuing to connect families with fresh, healthy produce.
