Celebrating Earth Day: SEEAG’s 3rd Annual Plantopia!

This past weekend, we hosted our 3rd Annual annual Plantopia, and we’re still buzzing with excitement and gratitude.
What began as a small initiative to get people excited about growing their own food has flourished into a beloved community tradition—thanks to the support of our incredible partners and passionate attendees.
With the help of our amazing partners at Plantel Nurseries and the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival community, the SEEAG team distributed nearly 10,000 edible seedlings over the course of the weekend. That’s right—10,000 plants went home with local families, budding gardeners, educators, and eco-enthusiasts.
A Community Effort
None of this would be possible without our partners, volunteers, and YOU—our community. Plantopia is a beautiful reminder that when we come together with a shared purpose, incredible things can happen. We saw families digging through seedling trays together, kids asking curious questions about kale, and longtime gardeners sharing tips with first-timers. These small moments are what make Plantopia so special.
