Growing Together: A SEEAG Team Day at Lotusland
SEEAG team at Lotus Land
At SEEAG, our work is all about connecting people to agriculture, education, food, and the communities we serve. But behind every STEM Lab, Farm to Food Lab field trip, Farm Day and Produce Pop-Up is a team of passionate people working together to make it happen. Thatβs why taking time to connect as a team is so important!
This summer, the SEEAG team had the opportunity to spend a special day together at Lotusland in Santa Barbara County. We were especially excited to welcome several of our summer interns, who joined us for the day!
A Day to Connect and Recharge
Working in education and community programming can be busy! Between coordinating school schedules, leading field trips, preparing lessons, organizing Produce Pop-Ups, developing curriculum, and supporting our community farm partners, there is always something happening.
Our team bonding day gave us a chance to slow down, step away from our usual routines, and simply enjoy being together.
Surrounded by the incredible gardens at Lotusland, we explored, talked, laughed, and got to know one another outside of our usual work environment. It was a wonderful reminder that strong programs start with a strong team.
Finding Inspiration in Nature
Spending the day at Lotusland also felt especially fitting for a team whose work is so closely connected to the environment and the natural world.
The gardens offered plenty of opportunities to slow down and appreciate the plants, landscapes, and thoughtful design throughout the property. For our team, it was a chance to reconnect with one of the reasons we love what we do: helping young people develop a deeper connection to food, farming, nature, and their communities.
Growing Together
Team bonding isn't just about having fun; it's about building relationships that strengthen the work we do together.
When our team has opportunities to connect, share experiences, and celebrate one another, we return to our work feeling refreshed and inspired. And when we work together as a connected team, we're better equipped to create meaningful experiences for the students, families, educators, and communities we serve.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us, especially our summer interns, for making the day so memorable!
We're grateful for our SEEAG team and excited for another year of growing, learning, and working together to connect students with agriculture.
Here's to growing together!
