Bobbi Rudin

Agricultural & Nutrition Educator

Bobbi is dedicated to learning and sharing ways to maintain health and prevent disease through natural means. Her first inspiration was her father, a doctor who practiced internal medicine. One way he treated common illnesses (like diabetes and heart disease) was by suggesting healthy dietary and exercise prescriptions.

Bobbi completed a bachelor’s degree in physical education and then worked as a fitness and health instructor. While her children were young, she attained a substitute teaching credential and worked in elementary education. She also started practicing yoga. A few years later, Bobbi became a yoga teacher and taught yoga for more than 20 years. She also continued working in elementary education as a paraeducator up until 2022 when she returned to substitute teaching.

Through yoga, Bobbi discovered the impact that agriculture and nutrition have on the mind-body connection. Bobbi took a permaculture class at Sunburst Sanctuary, a retreat center that is run by a yoga community of cattle ranchers and organic farmers. She then started a small urban farm in her own backyard. Today, she continues to eat and share the produce she grows in her yard.

Bobbi also completed a Health Coaching Program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) that emphasized nutrition and wellness education. Bobbi is excited to support SEEAG’s Farm Lab and Youth Wellness programs as a substitute teacher.
