Dave sits on the California Strawberry Commission Board of Directors and is the CSC’s Research Committee Chairman, and is a board member at United Fresh Produce Association. Dave received his MBA from Pepperdine University and BS in Agricultural Business Management form Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Seven years ago, this strawberry expert, took a trip to Spain that would forever change his perspective on growing and harvesting Ventura County’s top crop.

Since that trip, Dave has been trying to find new state-of-the-art ways to grow a better, more flavorful strawberry. In Edible Ojai Ventura County Dave said, “We were the first strawberry farm in Ventura County to install a hydroponic raised trough-which means the strawberries were above the ground-that was developed using the Spanish-style growing system.”
